EPLAN user meeting. The experience of «KONSOM GROUP»

Julia Guchina, the head of the of communication and information technology department of «KONSOM GROUP», told about «EPLAN» platform work experience, the benefits of the updated platform, and how to increase efficiency using non-standard approaches.

The company started using «EPLAN» platform 10 years ago. One of the important argument for adopting the platform was the possibility of several engineers to work in parallel mode on different parts of the same project. Another key advantage was the fact that «EPLAN» was used by most of chief designers.

«We have shared «EPLAN» platform using experience at the conference, presented our data network subsystem organization and illustrated the adaptation of electrical connections to optical links. We described the benefits of the new EPLAN 2022 version’s «Insertion Centre», which shows the most frequently used elements automatically inserted by the system in order to reduce operating time. We also told how to increase efficiency by describing the sectioning module in FieldSYS, which makes it possible to display information on the cables distribution on routes in a single segment and to generate a final report for the estimating department. This function allows saving 1 to 3 working days for designer, taking into account a project scope. – Yulia Guchina, the head of the of communication and information technology department of  «KONSOM GROUP».

Yulia has also noted the platform implementation as a client-server architecture, which allowed the company’s designers to use EPLAN remotely during pandemic.
